Over 2,000 Amsterdam terraces with real sun and shade, calculated from the height of every building. Right now, later today or tomorrow.
Weather apps tell you it's sunny. SunnyDrinks tells you which terrace actually gets that sun, and for how long.
For every terrace we calculated the skyline from the 3D BAG: the lidar-measured height of every building in the Netherlands.
The three closest terraces in the sun, with how long the sun stays. One tap for directions.
See the nearest sunny terrace without opening the app, on your home screen or lock screen.
Slide through today and tomorrow to see when the sun reaches your favourite spot.
An hourly cloud forecast tells you when the sun is likely to hide.
No account, no ads, no tracking. Your location never leaves your phone.
Yellow means sun, grey means shade. That's really all there is to it.

No guesswork: geometry, open data and the position of the sun.
The City of Amsterdam publishes the exact outline of every permitted terrace. We sample a few points on each one.
From each point we trace the surrounding buildings in every direction, using measured building heights.
Every five minutes we check whether the sun is above that skyline. If it is, the terrace is in the sun.
